SiteREF - A lightweight ArcGIS interrogation tool

Working with EMAP Consulting, 152HQ created a mobile application and web interface that produces Review of Environmental Factors (REF) reports in minutes.

This involved complex interrogation with the ArcGIS databases and improving performance and efficiency to make the application lightweight and very responsive.

Background
SiteREF does all the work for you. Simply select your chosen site and SiteREF will query the most recently available spatial databases to generate your Review of Environmental Factors (REF) report for that site.

Inclusions:

  • State Environmental Planning Policies (SEPPs) that apply to the site
  • LEP zoning, soil landscapes, BioNet vegetation communities
  • search of NSW BioNet Atlas for threatened flora and fauna species within a defined radius of the site
  • search of EPBC Protected Matters database for Matters of National Environmental Significance (MNES) within a defined radius of the site
  • basic search of AHIMS database for presence of Aboriginal sites or places within a defined radius of the site

UGL-Unipart

Digitalisation of the job card system

Initial discussions with the maintenance facility at UGL-Unipart, identified the need for a more robust and streamline work maintenance management system. While the existing work order system was driven by software, the current delivery practice was heavily reliant upon paperwork, manual data entry, personnel's knowledge of equipment, while often report historical data that was no longer accurate.  These factors were all contributing to substantial cost blow outs, lost productivity and scheduling delays. Ultimately, UGL-Unipart were looking for a solution that encompassed the use of a handheld unit, accessible to staff, whereby progress data could be entered directly into existing software, minimising paperwork, double handling, real time data capture and remove scheduling delays. 152hq was able to step in and develop an intuitive software package and companion app that staff wanted to use.

Ad-built Plus

Dynamic project management

Ad-built are industry leaders when it comes to kitchen and bathroom renovations, home extensions, as well as commercial fit outs.  They pride themselves on having over 2,500 successful projects in their portfolio. However, to achieve such success the Ad-built team are required to stay in constant communications with their staff and subcontractors, to determine the current status of all their projects. A time consuming task, that distracted their resources from other operational requirements.

152hq were engaged to  provide a software package that would fully automate the day-to-day operations of administrating Ad-built's projects and resources.

The software package integrates our current Take2 risk management system, scheduling, document management, project filing, automate messaging driven by the live schedule, real time location recording and progress updates, live chat/instruction sessions, push notifications and much more.

Role: Business Owner

After reviewing the benefits and costs associated with many of the off the shelf type apps that are available for construction management and various other business functions, Adbuilt made the decision to custom build our own construction programing, safety and document control system through 152HQ. Lance and his team at 152HQ were quickly able to understand our business and worked with us to develop our own custom software package. In the short time since going live, I am already seeing benefits for many of our smaller subcontractors in a range of areas including improved communication, scheduling of their works, and tracking progress on projects.
