Digitalisation of the job card system
Initial discussions with the maintenance facility at UGL-Unipart, identified the need for a more robust and streamline work maintenance management system. While the existing work order system was driven by software, the current delivery practice was heavily reliant upon paperwork, manual data entry, personnel's knowledge of equipment, while often report historical data that was no longer accurate. These factors were all contributing to substantial cost blow outs, lost productivity and scheduling delays.
Ultimately, UGL-Unipart were looking for a solution that encompassed the use of a handheld unit, accessible to staff, whereby progress data could be entered directly into existing software, minimising paperwork, double handling, real time data capture and remove scheduling delays.
152hq was able to step in and develop an intuitive software package and companion app that staff wanted to use.
